10 Fun Activities to Do in Quarantine

Do you need something to do? Read this article and find some ideas!

A lot of us are in quarantine/lockdown right now and we are bored. So we have decided to make a list of some fun activities to do.

Here we go ...

1. Lunch

Me and my sisters were having a lot of trouble because we had to make our own lunch and it was not going well. So we have created a system where you are assigned a person that you have to make lunch for. You can do this with 2 people and just make lunch for each other. You can do this with as many people as you want. Optional: You can make a competition where there is a winner of presentation and food quality.

2. Puzzles

I know, I know. This is not the most creative idea but it does make your mind think and you can do it with the whole family. Me and Phoebe Bliss are trying to do all of our puzzles and it is really fun.

3. Crafts

You can make anything! I am currently painting a lot and it is really fun. I may not be good at it but it is a good boredom buster.

4. Movie Marathons

So this one is tricky because you have to do it on Friday night or Saturday morning. A movie marathon is really fun because you can just be lazy and relax. All you have to do is this: Chose a movie series, get permission from your guardians, invite siblings, find a good spot, start watching! My family did a Harry Potter marathon. We started at like 9 and ended at 4 in the morning. So we watched Harry Potter for 19 hours. It was crazy but then we decided to take it to the next level... Me and my sisters successfully watched all the Marvel movies over the course of 5 days. We stayed up to 12:30 every night for three of the nights.

5. Fort building

Simple but fun. Take some blankets and stretch them across furniture and you've got a fort. Make sure you clean up afterward though.

6. Backyard Camping

If you have a tent, set it up, and go camping at your house. I did this for three nights in a row and it was really fun so I definitely recommend it as something you should.

7. The Oldies

The first step, make sure you and your parents have the same definition of oldies. Otherwise, you could end up watching a black and white square movie. This will probably lead to a big discussion which makes it even more fun. Let your parents show you the music, books, and TV they grew up with. It is a fun activity for the whole family. Just don't let them go overboard and take over all of the community music. ( like my dad did)

8. Dance Party

We have hosted two dance parties so far on zoom meetings with friends. It is fun but it is also a bit awkward when there are a lot of people and no one wants to dance and ... Yeah so maybe just do it with your family.

9. Family Yoga

You can lead your family in stretching and yoga. You can make a yoga sequence and you can include group stuff.

10. READ!

You can read and read and read. When you do not know what book to read next, come back to Hope You Like The Book!

There you go: 10 activities! Hope you enjoy!
